Wow this one got me. I was on the edge of my seat. I know it’s probably not the common thought, but I was rooting for Warner at the end. I wanted him to make a better choice at the end but I also wanted Juliette to as well. The author writes so beautifully and you can truly feel what the characters are feeling. The turmoil Juliette feels where Warner is concerned. Totally understandable and I love Adam but I don’t see it working out. He seems to be focused on her weakness while she is trying to be strong. She made her choice to step back. She sees though Warners tough act. She sees him even though she doesn’t want to. Deep down, she knows she wants him but her mind can’t get on board with what she knows to be true about him. With the destruction all around them, the impending war, Anderson still alive, so many obstacles. Such a good book and can’t wait to read the next one.
