Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off. I love that. No gaps at all in the story. This one is a little slower starting, Acacia finding herself again now that she learned where she came from and who she really is. She is growing apart from the prince and although he doesn’t feel it, she is pulling away. She has to figure out where she belongs. She does not feel as though her place is with the prince. She is lost for the first half of the book. Rhyvan returns and you can feel their connection snap into place. In the first book he interested her but she kept her distance. Now he grounds her and keeps her sane. He is her rock. He and Xander are my favorites. Both protectors and care for Acacia in different ways. They have a balance that is prominent. Once the action starts, it’s almost non stop until the end. A few plots twists to keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
