The Earth Answered

This book started off with action within the first few chapters. Acacia is quiet but that doesn’t mean she is timid. She is a warrior and earned her tittle as lieutenant. She was announced as a Lieutenant and was sent out to sea the next day. Xander is assigned to her and they leave right away. Neither Acacia nor Xander say too much but with the descriptions that Amanda gives through her writing, you feel like you are there with them. Acacia has know her second, Xander, since they were kids and they have this bond you can feel. They are not romantically involved although at first you may think that.

They are shipwrecked and somehow most of the crew survive. They are left somewhere that they haven’t truly ever investigated. They are cautious but are allowed shelter in a small village. The prince of the area comes to the village often to see his people. He is extremely helpful to them in their time of need. Just as later you can feel her bond with the prince, Arelian. They are taken and have to survive the wrath of the devil. Arelian is her rock while she tries to figure a way out. She has a power inside her that she can’t explain. She knows it’s there but is in denial for quite some time. Amanda has a different writing style, methodical. Not similar to anything I’ve read before and I truly enjoyed it. This story had many moving parts and in-depth plot lines. I’m looking forward to the second book.
