By Lena Everhart

This was an interesting read. Something is obviously wrong with Silas and he owns it. Callie is in denial and is slowly starting to develop Stockholm syndrome but not fast enough for Silas. You can feel her fear and depression through the pages. She hides behind her social media like so may do when inside she is a mess. Silas can see how screwed up she is and he is drawn to it. Her confusion to her bodies reaction to him is palpable. She forgets she is captive and feels like it’s normal when they hang out watching movies or cooking something. Silas knows he is breaking her down but he wanted her to trust him and come to him a lot faster than she is. Her breakdown takes time. Their bond is slowly forging. The writing style really has you feeling what each character is. The fear and the fury. You want to root for Silas sometimes and other times you hate him. This one is a cliffhanger and I’m interested to see what comes next.
