This was a twisted read! I was really feeling what the characters were, even bouncing from years ago to present day. There were a few twists and one major one at the end that I did not see coming! I was floored and I love it when an author can do that! You are feeling everything and you think you have the mystery figured out and then BAM you are thrown for a loop! That loop makes perfect sense, and you see all the signs once you are there but wouldn’t have seen them otherwise. Following Lily as an adult and the Belle as a child leads you to believe that Lily has been dealing with what her father did when she was young and then his suicide. She has a lot of trauma and you really feel bad for the poor kid. Belle never loses faith that her dad was set up. Following the clues she finds as a child and then the coincidences happening as an adult really keeps you on the edge of your seat. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was my first from Ainsley Reid and I am looking forward to finding some other gems she has written. Really loved the style. I enjoy seeing the past then present through multiple characters. It really gives you the whole story. I highly recommend this book.
