This was a charming story to read. Lily is the city girl showing up in a small town to save their fair. The story jumps right into her large “here I am” personality to try to win over the town. You can feel her upbeat positive energy through the authors words. Lily ruffles some feathers especially Ethan’s who is on the city council. Their first interaction left me kind of shocked, he was so abrupt and seemed a bit much. As the story progressed, Ethan’s character is unveiled beautifully and I really loved him by the end. He had so much weight to carry and the author did a wonderful job bringing him through his transformation. This was an easy, quick read. I felt all the feelings of the characters going through their towns transformation. I am looking forward to the second book!.
