This was a very entertaining series that kept me engaged the entire time. Poppy and her son have an amazing relationship. When she is first brought into the castle as a nanny, her son is nervous. He soon befriends the librarian, Gideon, who takes him under his wing. This helps to relieve some of the pressure off of Poppy while she navigates her new role. There are many secrets to uncover, fated dragons, and danger. This series is a page turner!
Fated mates is something the dragons take seriously. They are protective and form an instant connection. Poppy soon discovers that she is fated to Rorik. Rorik is a guard whom she originally thinks doesn’t like her. He just needs to work up the courage to talk to her.
Throughout this series, all of the guards find their mates. I love a good love story! There is action and plot twists throughout that keep you engaged and on your toes. This was a great series and I look forward to reading others by Alicia Montgomery.
